A new practice area: digital readiness for small businesses

June 2025 — Luxembourg

In mid-2025 we began offering small and medium-sized businesses in Luxembourg a structured digital tools gap review: a look at the systems a company actually uses, where information sits, and where a modest change in working process would create the most benefit for the time and budget available.

The service covers three related pieces of work: identifying the gap between the tools a business has and what its current workload actually needs; automating the recurring steps — enquiry handling, document flow, invoicing and reporting — that consume disproportionate time in a small team; and optimising the digital tools already in place before recommending anything new. Recommendations are prioritised and costed, with initial investment kept separate from recurring cost.

We are publishing this milestone because it reflects a shift in how we work with SME clients: alongside compliance and business administration, a growing share of engagements now start with a question about how the business runs day to day, not only whether it meets its obligations. Several Luxembourg SME support programmes can fund part of this work for eligible businesses, and we help clients identify the relevant route.
